About Us
Here, your child doesn't have to change to succeed;
they thrive by being exactly who they are.
Aspiring Phoenix is a non-profit organization providing a dynamic Kindergarten through 12th grade education. Rooted in the world-class learner-driven model first launched in Austin, TX in 2009, we combine time-tested approaches like Montessori tools and Socratic discussions with hands-on projects, business and leadership training, and innovative use of technology.
At Aspiring Phoenix, we believe every child is a hero on a unique journey. We nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while equipping learners with the real-world skills to discover their passions and pursue their life’s calling. Our balanced, joyful learning environment inspires students not just to absorb knowledge, but to question deeply, collaborate boldly, and grow into leaders who make a difference.

How it began
Imagine children, like yours, boldly pursuing their dreams with creativity and grit. This vision is more than a concept; it's a chance for your child to uncover their hidden talents and potential. They have dreams ready to be ignited, and our event could be that vital spark. I'm Rob Orlando, founder of Aspiring Phoenix. Faced with uncertainties about our three boys' future, my wife Kim and I felt a familiar parental dilemma. Drawing from our diverse backgrounds in coaching, engineering, and project management, we sought a unique solution. In 2017 our quest led us to Acton Academy, introduced through a TEDx talk by co-founder Jeff Sandefer. This serendipitous discovery, whether by chance or fate, presented us with a new path. It was a silent call, deep and resonating, guiding us towards what we needed to create. The Aspiring Phoenix Foundation where Montessori meets Harvard Business School to create an education like no other.
